Ingredients
- 1½ oz VIDO Vodka
- 1 oz fresh lemon
- ½ oz spiced cranberry syrup
- ¼ oz Dry curaçao
- 2 dashes of absinthe
- Top with champagne
Spiced Cranberry Syrup
- In a pan on the stove, add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 1 cup whole cranberries and heat on low.
- Gently stir until all the sugar is dissolved.
- Then add whatever spices you’d like– I went with 4-5 cinnamon sticks, a few star anise, some crushed allspice and a few pieces of fresh ginger.
- Lightly simmer until most of the cranberries have “popped.”
- Once cooled, strain out the solid and store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Preparation
- Combine all ingredients (except for Champagne) in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice.
- Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
- Top with Champagne.
- Garnish with a lemon twist and skewered cranberries.
