Ingredients
- 1 ½ oz VIDO
- ½ oz lime juice
- ½ oz cinnamon syrup*
- 2 oz chilled hibiscus tea ginger beer
*CINNAMON SYRUP
- 1 1⁄2 c. white cane sugar
- 1⁄2 c. dark brown sugar
- 1 c. water
- 6 ea 2.5” Ceylon cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
Bring water and cinnamon stick pieces to a boil in a saucepan, then reduce the heat to low. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cover and bring to a low simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat, keeping it covered, and let cool. Once cool, leave in the refrigerator overnight. The following day, strain the syrup through a cheesecloth or a coffee filter and bottle. Refrigerate for up to two months. Makes approx. 16 ounces.
Preparation
- Add all ingredients, except the ginger beer, to a mule mug.
- Add ice and top with ginger beer.
- Garnish with several mint sprigs.
