Vido Eastern Mule


  • 1 ½ oz VIDO
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • ½ oz cinnamon syrup* 
  • 2 oz chilled hibiscus tea ginger beer


  • 1 1⁄2 c. white cane sugar 
  • 1⁄2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1 c. water
  • 6 ea 2.5” Ceylon cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces

Bring water and cinnamon stick pieces to a boil in a saucepan, then reduce the heat to low. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cover and bring to a low simmer for five minutes. Remove from heat, keeping it covered, and let cool. Once cool, leave in the refrigerator overnight. The following day, strain the syrup through a cheesecloth or a coffee filter and bottle. Refrigerate for up to two months. Makes approx. 16 ounces.


  1. Add all ingredients, except the ginger beer, to a mule mug. 
  2. Add ice and top with ginger beer. 
  3. Garnish with several mint sprigs.
