Candy Corn Vodka Cocktail

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. VIDO Premium Vodka
  • Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice (1 lemon)
  • 2 oz. Simple Syrup 
  • 2 Egg Whites
  • 2 oz. Orangecello Liqueur
  • 1 oz. Aperol
  • ⅛ tsp Cardamom
  • Ice
  • Nutmeg
  • Orange Zest

Preparation

Note: If you actually LIKE candy corn, you can infuse your vodka by soaking the candy (in a separate jar) for at least 4 hours or even overnight. If you use the infused vodka you may want to skip adding the simple syrup in the steps below.

  1. In your shaker cup, add:
    • Juice from one Lemon
    • Egg Whites from 2 eggs
    • Few dashes of Cardamom (⅛ tsp.)
  2. Dry Shake Vigorously (45 seconds or so to 'cook' the egg and create a nice foam)
  3. Add to your shaker cup:
    • Ice
    • VIDO Premium Vodka (4 oz.)
    • Orangecello Liqueur (2 oz.)
    • Simple Syrup (2 oz.)
  4. Shake vigorously again (30 seconds or so).
  5. Strain evenly between your two flutes, topping with foam (may need to use a spoon).
  6. Using a Barspoon to break the surface of the foam, gently pour in your Aperol (approx ½ oz. for each glass)
  7. Top with Nutmeg and Orange Zest
